Makers of ‘Athiradi’ drop Tovino Thomas’ character poster; Actor to play Sreekuttan Vellayani in the film

Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan starrer ‘Athiradi’ is gearing up for release. The makers have now unveiled the second character poster from the film, featuring Tovino Thomas.

On Sunday, January 18, the makers of ‘Athiradi’ dropped the much-anticipated second character poster. The poster features Tovino Thomas dressed in a maroon shirt, singing. The poster revealed that he plays the role of Sreekuttan Vellayani in the film.

“Every collision needs a catalyst. The second face of ATHIRADI,” the makers said, as they shared the character poster via Instagram.

The makers launched Basil Joseph’s character poster earlier. He plays the role of Samkutty, a youngster in the film.

All about ‘Athiradi’

‘Athiradi’ marks the directorial debut of Arun Anirudhan, who has previously co-scripted the superhero film ‘Minnal Murali’. The upcoming film is co-written by Paulson Skaria, and Arun Anirudhan.

The film has a talented technical crew, including cinematographer Samuel Henry, editor Chaman Chakko, and music composer Vishnu Vijay. Nixon George is the sound designer for the film. The production designer is handled by Maanav Suresh, while the costumes are designed by Mashar Hamsa.

The makers had earlier launched a teaser, which revealed that a mysterious character was bashed, and the characters played by Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph may or may not have something to do with it. Vineeth seems to be playing a character witha negative shade.

As Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph have earlier delivered promising films including ‘Minnal Murali’, the audience has huge expectations on ‘Athiradi’. And with Vineeth Sreenivasan joining them, the hopes are soaring.

Meanwhile, ‘Athiradi’ will hit the big screens on May 14. “The celebrations begin now!
