Makers of ‘Makal’ launch the first look poster on Meera Jasmine’s birthday

Meera Jasmine turned a year older on Tuesday (Feb 15) and while colleagues and fans poured in wishes for the birthday girl, makers of her upcoming movie ‘Makal’ launched the first look poster. Director Sathyan Anthikad launched the first look poster of the film and wished Meera Jasmine on her birthday. The first look poster features Jayaram, Meera Jasmine and Devika Sanjay.

Sharing the poster Sathyan Anthikad also confirmed that ‘Makal’ is gearing up for release. The director said that as the pandemic row is settling down and theatres are resuming to normalcy, they are all gearing up for the release. “It might seem like the story is about someone among us. If so, like Sreenivasan said in the beginning of ‘Vadakkunokkiyanthram’, it’s not coincidence, it's purposefully curated. ‘Makal’ has been shaped from my and your life experiences. She will reach near you in a couple of weeks. Ahead of it, sharing the first look poster here. There’s another speciality today. It’s Meera Jasmine’s birthday. Wishing Meera, who is returning to the silver screen through ‘Makal’ after a brief hiatus, a very happy birthday,” Sathyan Anthikad said in his note, while unveiling the first look poster.

Meanwhile, Sathyan Anthikad and Meera Jasmine have earlier worked together in films ‘Achuvinte Amma’, ‘Rasathanthram’, ‘Vinodayathra’, and ‘Innathe Chintha Vishayam’, and the upcoming film ‘Makal’ will marks their fifth collaboration.

‘Makal’ features Jayaram and Meera Jasmine in lead roles. The film also has Devika Sanjay, Innocent, Sreenivasan, and Siddique in pivotal roles.
