Makeup artist Seema Haridas directs short film

Malayalam film industry makeup artist and hairstylist Seema Haridas has written and directed a short film, titled ‘Njan’. The 14-minute film, featuring actor Maala Parvathy among others, is about parents who are faced with the bleak service of a private hospital when their teenage daughter is faced with a road accident. This is contrasted with the more humane and cheaper service provided by a government hospital.
The industry has reacted warmly to the venture with actor Aishwarya Lekshmi saying on social media, “There might be a lot of mistakes, but how do we learn without those! A brilliant attempt… dream on Seema chechi.” Actor Rajisha Vijayan also posted effusively, “I cannot tell you how proud I am of you Seemechi! Let Njan...? be the beginning of something beautiful!”
