Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ featuring Mohanlal in the lead role has hit cinemas today, January 25. The film is receiving rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. A report by OTTPlay confirms that the streaming rights of the Mohanlal starrer have been sold to a leading OTT platform. The film will reportedly start streaming on Disney Plus. The date of the digital release is yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, the film has garnered an impressive initial response, with ticket bookings on the rise. As the weekend and a holiday approach, the anticipation is that they will continue to soar.
Mohanlal, who recently struck gold with 'Neru', is expected to repeat the same for ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’. Apart from Mohanlal, ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ also has actors Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi, Danish Sait, and Manikandan Achari, among others, in pivotal roles.

In what can be termed a visual extravaganza, Mohanlal matches the energy and mystery behind the titular character. While the basic story line, when you take Valiban out of the equation isn't very original or even well defined, there are very interesting elements adding layers to it. The film has Lijo's name written all over it.”
