Malayalam film producer Achani Ravi passes away

Malayalam film producer K Ravindranathan Nair, popularly known as Achani Ravi, has died at the age of 90. He produced 14 films and also acted in several films, including the critically acclaimed movie "Esthappan." Ravi earned his nickname after producing the hit film "Achani" and went on to construct the Kollam Public Library and Sopanam Auditorium as a tribute to its success. He was also a member of committees for the National Film Awards, Central Board of Film Certification and Film Development Corporation. Ravi is survived by his children Preetha, Prakash Nair and Pratap Nair.

Popular Malayalam film producer cum businessman Achani Ravi, whose real name was K Ravindranathan Nair, passed away on Saturday (July 8) at the age of 90. He entered the film industry as a producer with his debut film titled "Anweshichu Kandethiyilla." Achani Ravi is survived by his children Preetha, Prakash Nair, and Pratap Nair.

Following the immense success of his film "Achani," he earned the nickname 'Achani Ravi' and went on to construct the Kollam Public Library and Sopanam Auditorium as a tribute to the film's popularity.
