Fahadh Faasil starrer survival thriller ‘Malayankunju’ is turning on and off with its box office collection over the days and according to the recent reports, the film has earned Rs 12 crores worldwide.
Although the makers have not yet confirmed the matter, according to the Twitter forums that track box office numbers, the Fahadh Faasil starrer has earned over Rs 12 crores worldwide on its fifth day theatrical run.
According to the reports, ‘Malayankunju’ had a budget of around Rs 6.5 crores, and considering the collections that the film has raked in so far, the Fahadh Faasil starrer has already turned out to be a profitable venture.
The film hit the big screens on July 22nd and was opened to a wide positive response from the audience as the majority of them were impressed by the terrific performance from Fahadh Faasil and also the magnificent making style. AR Rahman, who composed the music for the survival thriller, received much adulation from netizens for his magnificent composition that helped in creating an eerie ambiance.
Helmed by the debutant Sajimon Prabhakar, the script of ‘Malayankunju’ is penned down by the director Mahesh Narayanan who also cranked the lens for the film. Apart from Fahadh Faasil, ‘Malayankunju’ also featured the actors Indrans, Rajisha Vijayan, Jaya S Kurup, Jaffar Idukki, and Deepak Parambol in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Nivin Pauly starrer ‘Mahaveeryar’ is underperforming at the Kerala box office and Abrid Shine’s fantasy movie has reportedly managed to only rake in Rs 2.10 crores on its fourth day in theatres.
