As reported earlier, Mammotty's much anticipated periodic film, '

Mamangam

' won't reach the audience this month. The team has postponed the release of this multilingual film to 12th December 2019. Earlier, it was decided that the movie will hit the screens on November 21st, however, due to some pending post-production work, the makers have pushed the release date.

, the movie tells the story of the same festival which was held back in the 18th century on the banks of Bharathapuzha. Apart from Mammootty, the movie will also have Unni Mukundan and Achuthan B Nair, essaying the pivotal characters.

Directed by M. Padmakumar, Venu Kunnappilly is bankrolling the project under the banner of Kavya Films. Ace cinematographer, Manoj Pillai is cranking the lens and Shankar Ramakrishnan is crafting the adapted screenplay and dialogues. Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara are handling the background score, while M Jayachandran handles the music. Shot in Malayalam, the magnum opus will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
