Mammootty and Mohanlal starrer 'Patriot' makers drop new single ‘Manushyan’

Two of the Malayalam legends, Mammootty and Mohanlal, will be sharing screen in the upcoming spy action thriller, ‘Patriot’. As the film nears its theatrical release, the makers shared a newly released song, ‘Manushyan’.The makers shared the lyrical video of the song, which has a mysterious vibe. It mainly captures Mammootty, who can be seen travelling with his cap on. Mammootty does not sing but only speaks a monologue. The singing part is done by Shakthisree Gopalan. Her voice is soft and smooth. The music is given by Sushin Shyam. The lyrics are written by Vinayak Sasikumar. All together, the song feels simple but meaningful.Director Mahesh Narayanan and Mammootty said in many talks that the story is the real hero. Even though the film brings Mohanlal and Mammootty together again, they are keeping things low. The song was also not shared by official pages. Only Sushin Shyam shared it directly online.Apart from Mammootty and Mohanlal, the film also has a strong supporting cast. Actors like Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy will be seen in important roles. The trailer already suggests that each character plays a key part in the story.Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the story centers on a retired JAG officer, played by Mammootty, who is wrongly framed for espionage and goes on a covert mission to clear his name and protect the nation.The film is hitting the big screens on May 1.Meanwhile, Mohanlal was last seen in ‘Vrusshabha’ and Mammootty, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Kalamkaval’.
