Mammootty and Mohanlal’s magnum opuses to have 12-year-olds in pivotal roles

Both Mamangam and Barroz will have kids playing important roles
Mammootty and Mohanlal’s films are always star-studded. While their upcoming magnum opuses

Mamangam

and

Barroz

will be no different, what stands out is that both the films will have two 12-year-olds playing pivotal characters.

The plot of Mamangam, which is directed by

M Padmakumar

, is set in 1695 and will revolve around the finale of a 280-year war that has been waged between the chaaverukal and the troupes of Zamorins. Two pivotal characters will be “a 12-year-old who changed history and a hero who did the impossible”, the latter being played by Mammootty.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s debut directorial Barroz is a tale about a ghost who guards the treasure and a 12-year-old girl, who seems to be the heir apparent to the treasure.
