Mammootty extends birthday wishes to M. T. Vasudevan Nair

Mammootty has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the iconic author, screenplay writer, and filmmaker M.T. Vasudevan Nair, who turned 91 on Monday (July 15). Mammootty, who often credits his career success to M.T.'s writing, met the legendary figure and shared pictures of the occasion.

"Hearty birthday wishes to dear MT sir," Mammootty wrote on social media. The photos feature Mammootty with his family, including his wife Sulfath and son, actor Dulquer Salmaan, posing alongside M.T. Vasudevan Nair and his family.

In addition to the birthday celebrations, the trailer of ‘Manorathangal’, an anthology series of nine films written by M.T. Vasudevan Nair, was launched. The series features notable actors such as Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, and Mammootty himself, further honoring M.T.'s illustrious contributions to Indian cinema.

‘Manorathangal’ has 9 films - Ollavum Theeravum (Priyadarshan), Kadugannava Oru Yathra (Ranjth), Kazhcha (Shayamprasad), Shilalikhatam (Priyadarshan), Vilpana (Aswathy V Nair), Sherlock (Mahesh Narayanan), Swargam Thurakkuna Samayam (Jayarajan Nair), Abhyam Theedi Vendum (Santosh Sivan ASC, ISC), and, Kadalkkattu (Rathish Ambat).

Actors Madhoo, Nedumudi Venu, Fahadh Faasil, Biju Menon, Nadiya Moidu, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Indrajith, Aparna Balamurali, Asif Ali, Harish Uthaman, Shanthi Krishna, Joy Mathew, Kailash, Indrans, Renji Panicker, Surabhi Lakshmi, Siddique, Ishit Yamini, and, Naseer Sanskranthy are also part of the upcoming anthology.
