Mammootty turns 74: Malayalam superstar shares a gratitude-filled post; celebrates birthday with calm seaside
Malayalam cinema's evergreen star Mammootty is celebrating his 74th birthday today and he is receiving warm wishes from fans and colleagues. Recently, the actor made his comeback to the screen and shared a post of his quiet celebration.
On his Instagram handle, the 'Bramayugam' star posted a picture of himself leaning on his sleek black Land Cruiser and looking at the sea. Mammootty wrote a simple caption, "Full of love, gratitude and the Almighty for everyone." Fans and other stars reacted to the post with cheerful comments and wishes.
Several celebrities from the Malayalam film industry also greeted him. Comedian Ramesh Pisharody poetically described the actor's presence, writing, "The star in the waves at the shore….." Actor Arun Kurian, who has often expressed admiration for the veteran star, wrote, "Lot of Love and prayers to you sir."

On the work front, Mammootty will be seen with his son Dulquer Salmaan in a psychological action thriller 'Kalamkaval'. He will also work on the film tentatively named 'MMMN' directed by Mahesh Narayanan which will feature Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara and Kunchako Boban in key roles. He will also work on a project with filmmaker Amal Neerad.
