Mammootty’s iconic ‘Vallyettan’ returns: 4K remastered trailer thrills fans ahead of November 29 re-release

Mammootty’s evergreen iconic classic action film ‘Vallyettan’ is all set to grace the big screens again in 4K. The recently released trailer of the movie promises a visual spectacle that is never to be missed in theatres.

Mammootty took to his official Twitter handle to share the re-release trailer for ‘Vallyettan’ and penned a Tweet that read, “#Vallyettan 4K Official Trailer Out Now !! Re Releasing In Cinemas On November 29, 2024.”

As Mammootty’s Arakkal Madhavanunni is marking his return on November 29, the netizens are calling it the best movie to re-release, compared to the earlier ‘Palerimanikyam’ re-release which minted underwhelming numbers from the box office.


With the trailer release, fans who eagerly awaited the trailer following the teaser release are thrilled to see the film’s iconic moments and experience it in the theatres in 4K Dolby Atmos.


Apart from Mammootty’s magnificent screen presence, power-packed dialogues, and engaging screenplay, the beautiful soundtrack of this action flick cannot be overlooked. The lyrics are by Gireesh Puthenchery, the songs by Mohan Sithara, and the music scores by C. Rajamani. The trailer also showcases the iconic ‘Vallyettan’ background score.


Directed by Shaji Kailas, written by Ranjith, and produced by Baiju Ambalakkara, ‘Vallyettan’ originally hit the big screens on September 10, 2000. The movie turned out to be one of the highest-grossers during the year. With the re-release, ‘Vallyettan’ is expected to repeat the history at the Kerala box office.


Along with Mammootty, this film boasts an ensemble cast including Shobana, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Kalabhavan Mani, Manoj K Jayan, Poornima Indrajith, N F Varghese, Innocent, Vijayakumar and Sudheesh. ‘Vallyettan’ also featured Iconic and memorable villains played by Sai Kumar and N.F. Varghese which adds more tension and drama that keeps the audience hooked to the story.
