Daya Sujith is the daughter of cinematographer Sujith Vasudevan and actor Manju Pillai. Daya is active in modelling and also shares videos on her social media handle. Recently a reply given by Daya on her social media handle to a body-shaming comment caught everyone’s attention and started getting shared widely.
The body-shaming comment
A person left a very insulting comment under Daya’s post. The comment said that Daya looks “too masculine.” The person also said that if she goes to the gym she would “completely turn into a man.” Daya decided to speak up instead of staying silent.
Daya’s strong and honest reply
Daya spoke calmly but firmly. She said, “Someone told me that I have too much masculinity. He also said that if I start going to the gym, I will completely become a man. I am sorry that my masculinity makes you feel insecure. I am sorry that you don’t have enough masculinity to accept my masculinity. I feel sad that you don’t even have the masculinity to think that you are a bigger man than me. That’s it.” She concluded with a 'Mike Drop' comment.
Support, past responses
Daya's post was filled with comments. One commented, "Poor guy messed with the wrong woman." Another one wrote, "Entering 2026 with this confidence level killed it!." Another comment read, "Jaaaan സൂപ്പർ അല്ലെ.. PILLAI MANJU ALL KERALA FANS CLUB." One wrote, "Masculinity is neither above or below femininity, both r just fancy words coined out for creating insecurity for those who achieve happiness in living on their own terms, a sound mind and a healthy body is what we shall aim for, loved ur confidence and hope the boy gets well soon."
This is not the first time she has spoken against body shaming. She had replied to people who commented on her weight gain earlier. She had said, “One aunty came and told me, ‘Jani, you have put on so much weight. You don’t look like the person I saw two years ago.’ Aunty, let me tell you one thing first. You look like a fridge. Then what right do you have to comment on my body? Don’t play with me.”
Daya is also interested in fashion designing and painting. She talks openly about toxic relationships and breakups via her YouTube Channel.
