‘Marco’ box office collections day 25: Unni Mukundan’s action flick fights its way to Rs 59.2 crores

Unni Mukundan’s recently released action flick ‘Marco’ is raking in gold at the box office and the latest reports say that the movie has collected more than Rs 59 crores from India.


According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Marco’ has collected Rs 59.2 crores from India in just 25 days and the Malayalam Net box office collections stand at Rs 41.29 crores. On day 25, as per the early estimates provided by the website, ‘Marco’ has made a high of Rs 13 lakhs.



At the Hindi Net box office, ‘Marco’ had collected Rs 12.08 crores; Haneef Adeni’s directorial minted Rs 4.45 crores from Telugu. The Tamil Net box office collections for the action drama movie stand at Rs 1.38 crores.


In just 24 days, ‘Marco’ had collected Rs 99.8 crores worldwide and the overseas collections for the movie in the same period stood at Rs 32 crores.


Starring Unni Mukundan as the titular character and directed by Haneef Adeni, ‘Marco’ is hailed for its brutal scenes, especially in the movie's second half. Recently the Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma heaped praise on the hype for ‘Marco’. His Tweet read, ““Never heard MORE SHOCKING PRAISE for ANY FILM more than #Marco film.. DYING TO SEE IT, and I hope I too won’t get killed by Unni Mukundan.”


Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas also praised ‘Marco’. Talking to the media, the ‘Identity’ actor said, ““It’s a very nice movie. I can say that the movie is getting positive reviews because of its exceptional technical side and performances and can not only be attributed to its violence. The movie is a hit because it’s good in every aspect and this is what I believe.”
