'Marco' to 'Rifle Club': Must-watch weekend films you can't miss!

This Christmas seems to be ‘Bloody-red’ as there are several violent action flicks fresh out there in the Malayalam film industry this time. Let’s take a look at some of the newly released films that you can watch in theatres this weekend.


‘Marco’


‘Marco’ is Unni Mukundan’s most-anticipated movie in his career and there are several reasons for this. Haneef Adeni’s directorial is said to be the most-violent movie ever made in Mollywood and also the teaser for the film was quite impressive. The ‘KGF’ fame Ravi Basrur composed the tracks for this actioner. If you are a fan of action flicks ‘Marco’ is your best bet.

‘Rifle Club’

Mollwyood’s talented director Aashiq Abu is taking an Amal Neerad - path with the actioner ‘Rifle Club’. As the name indicates, the movie is all about guns and violence. The first reviews for this Anurag Kashyap starrer call it a well-made movie with loads of action and violence along with good one-liners. If you are a fan of Tarantino-style tension-packed films, ‘Rifle Club’ could entertain you.


‘Pushpa 2’


‘Pushpa 2’ has already collected good numbers at the box office, despite mediocre reviews. Although the second part has not impressed the majority of the Kerala audiences, it is said to be a good one-time watch if you are into commercial action drama movies that have a Telugu-style treatment. Allu Arjun’s performance this time, precedes Fahadh Faasil and the movie is a treat for the ‘Bunny’ fans.



‘Bougainvillea’


For those who love to watch a mystery-thriller movie, Amal Neerad’s directorial ‘Bougainvillea’ is out on OTT. Apart from some flaws in the climax, ‘Bougainvillea’ is a good watch for those who love an Amal Neerad style storytelling, packed with slo-mos, and other elements. The movie stars Kunchacko Boban, Jyothirmayi, Srinda, and many others in the lead.
