A short film titled Kayyankali, enacted by actor
Jino John who shot to fame through his natural acting in Tovino Thomas' Mexican Apaaratha has been relased. Directed by Afsal Cool, this film revolves around an important gangster in Cherthala. An accident happens to him one day that changes his life. Towards the climax, the film also features an intense fistfight between the lead characters. Sreekumar Sukumaran has penned the screenplay for the story written by Muhsin. Jino John, Shanif Marakkar, Shallet P J, Subin Ayyambuzha, Akhil, Abhilash, Denson and Suhail are part of the cast. Sajid Nazar has handled the cinematography whereas the editing and colouring is done by Amarnath. Background score is set by Shafeeq Rahman.
