Miya George got engaged to businessman Ashwin Philip today. The news of the actress prepping to tie the knot came as a surprise for her fans and pictures of their engagement started surfacing online even before she could confirm the news. The actress then herself took to her social media handles to thank her fans for their wishes. “Thanks for all the Love & prayers ❤,” she wrote sharing a picture with her beau.
The duo reportedly got engaged in a low-key ceremony held at Kottayam. The duo’s families and close relatives were present at the function.
Miya chose to wear an off white heavily embroidered Anarkali suit and picked a green choker and matching stud earrings, while her fiancé was spotted wearing a simple white shirt and navy blue pants.

As per sources, the engagement was planned earlier, but due to the lockdown, the duo’s family had to change the dates. Sources also suggest that the families have planned the marriage in September.
One of the popular stars in Mollywood, Miya George is best known for her performances in movies like ‘Vishudhan’, ‘Hi I'm Tony’, 'Salaam Kashmir', 'Anarkali', and 'Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal’.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Miya was last seen in ‘Al Mallu’. She has also given a notable performance in the recent movie ‘Driving License’. Miya essayed one of the leading ladies in the movie. She played Elsa Kuruvila, the wife of Kuruvila Joseph (Suraj Venjaramoodu), a vehicle inspector in the film. Her impressive performance and comic timing were highly appreciated by the audience. The diva has now signed a project with Kalidas Jayaram.
