Mohanlal and ‘Varane Avashyamund’ director Anoop Sathyan to team up for a big-budget film

Mollywood actor Mohanlal seems to be taking a drastic change in his film career by teaming up with young and talented directors for his upcoming projects. As the actor is all set for his next film with the ‘Athiran’ director Vivek, the latest reports suggest that Mohanlal is planning to work with the director Anoop Sathyan for his next.

Mohanlal - Anoop Sathyan project was announced by the latter's brother Akhil Sathyan via his official Facebook handle. Akhil Sathyan also mentioned in his post that another leading Indian actor will be sharing screen space along with Mohanlal for the project. An official announcement about the cast and details of the movie is expected to be announced soon by the makers.

Akhil Sathyan’s Facebook post read, “Anoop is coming up with a super interesting, scaled up film and he is about to cast one of India’s ever-favorite actors on screen with the complete actor. I better show off by fetching pics with him.” He ended the note with the hashtag, ‘Proud Twin’. Akhil Sathyan is also making his directorial debut with the Fahadh Faasil starrer ‘Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum’. The second scheduled shoot for the film commenced recently.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is currently shooting for the segment ‘Olavum Theeravum’ in an upcoming anthology film which is based on the short stories written by the veteran writer MT Vasudevan Nair. ‘Olavum Theeravum’ is directed by Priyadarshan and also has the actors Haresh Peradi and Durga Krishna in pivotal roles. Mohanlal will be soon joining the team of 'Ram' which is directed by Jeethu Joseph.
