Superstar Mohanlal’s much-awaited film ‘Malaikottai Valiban’ directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery has gone on floors today (Jan 18). The team kicked off the shoot with a puja and switch-on ceremony in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, the Golden city.
Mohanlal shared pictures from the sets of ‘Malaikottai Valiban’ and confirmed that the film has started rolling. “To all those eyes and ears for Malaikottai Vaaliban, hey, we begin today!” Mohanlal said.

‘Malaikottai Valiban’ also marks Lijo Jose Pellissery’s first collaboration with superstar Mohanlal. The acclaimed filmmaker’s union with the legendary actor has made the audience expect more.
Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Valiban’ has Madhu Neelakandan as the cinematography director. Madhu Neelakandan has previously worked with the director for ‘Churuli’. Deepu Joseph has roped in as the editor. Prashant Pillai is composing the music for the film and Gokuldas is the production designer. Sujith Sudhakaran, who won the National film award for best costume designer for his work in the National award-winning film 'Marakkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham' is part of the project. Ronex Xavier is the makeup man.
‘Malaikottai Valiban’ will be extensively shot in Rajasthan, and the makers are reportedly planning to complete the shoot in 60 days.
