Mohanlal revolves around the life of Meekutty, a hardcore fan of Mohanlal, fondly called as Lalettan.
Manju makes a mass entry as the Lalettan fan, the one who never misses his film’s first day first show. The first half delves into Meenu's life as a Mohanlal fan, in the growing stages during her childhood.
The fandom and frenzy makes life miserable for Meenukutty. She then marries her childhood friend Sethu, played by Indrajith. This immense love for the actor starts affecting their marital life as well. Next half will decide how Meenukutty and Sethu will find a solution for a normal life
Though at times the audience feel that her love reaches the heights of craziness, as meenukutty connects everything from character names to situations from Mohanlal's film in her everyday life, it reflects how a fan views his or her favourite star.
