Mohanlal, Navya Nair, Anu Sithara, and others extend wishes on Krishna Janmashtami

Lord Krishna’s birth is celebrated with pomp every year in Hindu households. The day is referred to as Janmasthami, Krishna Janmashtami, and Krishna Jayanthi, depending upon the region. The day marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. From offering prayers at Krishna temples to indulging in sweet and savoury dishes, and taking part in processions, the day is observed with utmost pomp in India. Mollywood celebrities too are observing the festivities, and a few of them including Mohanlal have taken to their respective social media handles to extend wishes to fans.

Mohanlal took to his social media handle and extended wishes to fans and netizens. “Happy Sri Krishna Jayanti #Janmashtami,” he tweeted.


On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, actress Navya Nair offered prayers at Tirumala Tirupati temple. She decked up in a traditional kasavu saree, and visited the temple along with her family. “Happy janmashtami wishes from tirupathi , tirumalai sannidhanam .. Govinda Govinda…” she captioned, sharing the pictures.
Actress Anu Sithara, who is a devotee of Lord Krishna shared a picture taken with the Krishna idol, and wished, “ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണജയന്തി ആശംസകൾ��.”

Yesteryear actress Manya Naidu too wished her fans, “Happy Chingam 1st & Happy Krishna Janmashtami from us ❤️#manya #omishka #chingam1 #malayalamnewyear #janmashtami #krishna #malayalam #kerala #chingam.”
