On Tuesday (March 18), a video of Mohanlal went viral online, showing him making a surreal entry to the Sabarimala temple with his personal staff. The actor chose a black sacred dhoti and a blue shirt, paired with a black shawl. He was seen ascending the divine 18 steps with Thirumudikettu (a pouch containing sacred items that Hindu pilgrims carry to Sabarimala). The actor offered prayers to the deity and interacted with other devotees as well.

'L2: Empuraan', directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is one of the most anticipated films from Mollywood, as its 2019 prequel, 'Lucifer', became a box office hit. 'Empuraan' is expected to be the second instalment in a planned trilogy by Prithviraj after Lucifer. The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Jerome Flynn, Eriq Ebouaney, and Suraj Venjaramoodu in key roles.

Director Prithviraj recently visited superstar Rajinikanth and showed him the trailer of 'L2: Empuraan'. Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), Prithviraj posted a picture of himself with Rajinikanth, writing: "The very first person to watch the trailer of #L2E #EMPURAAN. I will forever cherish what you said after watching it, Sir! This meant the world to me! Fanboy forever! @rajinikanth #OGSuperstar." The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared the film for release with a UA 16+ rating.
