Mohanlal’s ‘Lucifer’ to re-release on THIS date

Before the release of its much-awaited sequel L2: Empuraan, the makers of Mohanlal’s blockbuster ‘Lucifer’ have officially confirmed the re-release of the first installment on March 20.


Taking to their official YouTube channel, the production house unveiled the re-release trailer for Lucifer and shared a note that read:
"Presenting the Official Re-Release Trailer of #Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Releasing on March 20, 2025. #Mohanlal #PrithvirajSukumaran #AashirvadCinemas #LuciferMalayalamMovie."


With ‘Empuraan’ just days away from hitting the big screen, the re-release of ‘Lucifer’ is expected to create a major impact in theaters, as many fans would love to revisit the first part before diving into the much-anticipated sequel.

Planned for release on March 27, ‘L2: Empuraan’ has already set a record in its overseas collection figures. Reportedly securing a Rs 30 crore deal for its overseas distribution rights, the Mohanlal starrer has surpassed Dulquer Salmaan’s action flick ‘King of Kotha’.

Additionally, ‘L2: Empuraan’ has entered the top tier of South Indian overseas rights deals, joining the ranks of major films like ‘Pushpa 2’ and Prabhas’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.

After a couple of days silence, the makers recently shared a new poster featuring Mohanlal’s character facing a group of policemen, media, and public, during a party event. Mohanlal also shared the poster with a caption that read, “The first day, first show of #L2E #Empuraan will start at 6:00 AM IST on the 27th of March 2025. Shows across the world will start at the corresponding time in their respective time zones. Stay tuned for further details! Malayalam | Tamil | Hindi | Telugu | Kannada.”

On the other hand, Mohanlal has several highly awaited projects in the pipeline, and one among them is Tharun Moorthy’s directorial family drama movie ‘Thudarum’. The actor also has the Sathyan Anthikad’s directorial ‘Hridayapoorvam’ in the pipeline.
