Controversy clouds Mammootty's 'Samrajyam' re-release
Talking to Manorama Online, addressing viewers’ concerns over the clarity of the re-release trailer, Jomon stated, “I have nothing to do with the re-release of Samrajyam. The producers never spoke to me or sought my opinion.” The director also said that he had to face several criticisms from the audiences when 'Samrajyam' 2 was made with a Tamil filmmaker named Perarasu in the helm. 'Samrajyam 2' starring Unni Mukundan in the lead, had received mostly negative reviews from the audiences and turned out to be a flop.
