Prithviraj Sukumaran is the biggest star amongst the youngsters in Malayalam cinema today. The actor’s recent announcement is going to make him a remarkable talent in Indian cinema as well. Prithviraj has signed to star in the first Indian movie entirely made with the help of virtual production. Debutant director Gokulraj Baskar is helming the movie and speaking exclusively to us, he revealed that the untitled movie is based on a mythical hero. Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames are jointly producing the movie and the movie will be released in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

Actor Jayasurya announced his next project this week. Titled ‘John Luther’, the film is written and directed by Abhijith Joseph. Jayasurya will be playing the titular and the movie is expected to be a thriller. Thomas P Mathew is backing the project under the banner of Alonsa Films, while Roby Varghese Raj is wielding the camera. Praveen Prabhakar is the editor and Shaan Rahmaan is in charge of the music and background scores. The team will go on the floors soon.

Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer ‘Roy’ is a family thriller

Previous week Suraj Venjaramoodu’s movie ‘Roy’ was announced and while exclusively talking to us the director Sunil Ibrahim revealed that the movie is a family thriller. Suraj Venjaramoodu will be playing the titular. The director also revealed that ‘Roy’ is a very unique person, who is unemployed, lives with his wife, and is an introvert. The team will commence the shoot by August 28.

Calicut express - a movie on the airplane clash

Moviebuff has a great liking for films based on real life incidents and the recent airplane crash at Calicut airport is getting a reel life. Titled ‘Calicut Express’, the movie is inspired by the unfortunate incident of airplane crash. The movie will be directed by Maya and Majeed Maranchery is crafting the script. The cast of the movie is yet to be announced, however, it is expected that some of the A-lister might join soon.
