Monisha arranged a grand sadya for all of us: Vineeth

During my childhood at Thalassery, I was always the one to draw the designs for the pookkalam for the 10 days of Onam. We would collect flowers for it from the neighbourhood and all of it still stays fresh in my mind.

But the best ever Onam for me was the one we celebrated while shooting for Nakhakshathangal at Shoranur. Monisha, my co-star, had arranged an Onam feast for the entire crew at her father's tharavad near Shoranur. I still remember how we joined the celebrations after shooting a song sequence. We all wore new clothes and took part in the grand authentic onasadya and enjoyed it in full festive spirits. It's sad she is not with us today.
The Onam after my wedding was also a memorable one as Thiruvonam fell the next day. The family had a grand get-together and all relatives joined in, including non-malayalis.
