A story that offered comedy right from scene one and a bevy of characters with enough depth to keep the viewers interested. Till the intermission,
Mr and Ms Rowdy
has been a novel, engaging story and the 145 minute film seems quite promising so far.
Appu(Kalidas) and his four friends have the reputation of a 'quotation’ gang in his village. The neighborhood considers them worthless, though they have their own individual ‘decent’ and 'family-loving’ side. During one of their 'works,’ Appu's path crosses with that of Poornima (
Aparna Balamurali). What follows is mayhem.
The film is high on comedy and the performances are also good. Kalidas is convincing as a goon with his body language, though not so much through his voice, which is good for the kind of role he is playing in the film.
Will the comedic plotline continue to have the same punch as its first half after the interval?
