MT and Madhu@90 photography exhibition: IFFK 2023 celebrates veterans MT Vasudevan Nair and Madhu as they turn 90

The 28th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) opened on Friday, December 8 at Thiruvananthapuram. Along with the screening of exceptional films, the festival has also celebrated eminent personalities in cinema. In honouring the 90th birthdays of the iconic filmmaker-screenwriter-author MT Vasudevan Nair and the legendary actor Madhu this year, the festival paid tribute to them through a photography exhibition.

Veteran poet, lyricist, and filmmaker Sreekumaran Thampi inaugurated the event. The exhibition showcased rare pictures of MT Vasudevan Nair and Madhu. The exhibition was curated by photographer R. Gopalakrishnan. The photographs have garnered much love.

The organisers of IFFK shared a glimpse of the exhibition on social media. Their post is captioned, “The exhibition, showcasing photographs of Shri. M T Vasudevan Nair, a prominent and versatile figure in modern Malayalam literature, and the legendary Malayalam actor Shri. Madhu, was organised at Tagore Theatre to mark the occasion of both of them turning 90 this year. Renowned filmmaker Shri. Sreekumaran Thampi inaugurated the event. The International Film Festival of Kerala is one of the prominent film festivals in India and is hosted by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. The annual festival commenced on December 8 this year and will wrap on December 15.
