The character sketches of Nivin Pauly and Amala Paul from the upcoming historical drama Kayamkulam Kochunni directed by Roshan Andrews have been triggering curiosity among the movie buffs.
The actors who appears as Kayamkulam Kochunni, the popular thief who lived in Kerala in the 19th century and the prominent woman in his life looks too realistic in the sketches. Nivin in his rustic look and Amala with a nadan hairdo, silver ornaments, and kajaled eyes have made the film an intriguing one.

The film, scripted by Bobby and Sanjay, is based on months of research. Sanjay had eariler told us that they found a lot of details about Kayamkulam Kochunni from their research through books and other sources, which are beyond what's mentioned in Aithihyamala and hearsay. The movie will also focus on Kochunni's relationships and friendships.
On Amala's character, he added that she was a major figure in Kochunni's life; she wasn't his love interest per se.
