Nivin picks another seaside story

Tales of the deep blue sea and its vibrant coasts seem to be increasingly fascinating Nivin Pauly, of late.

The actor, who is currently shooting for Gautam Ramachandran’s upcoming Tamil film that is centered on a beach, has also taken up a Malayalam film with similar setting. The yet-to-be-titled movie is directed by Rosshan Andrrews and scripted by Bobby and Sanjay. The trio is also working with Nivin for another project titled '

Kayamkulam Kochunni

', after which they will start working on the seaside story.

Sanjay says that it will be a movie quite unlike any that Nivin has starred in, before. “In Malayalam films, we have had many stories based on what happens in our coastal areas and about various characters you meet there. But, this is a story that explores more of the ‘sea spaces’ of these locations,” he explains.

Director Rosshan Andrrews says, “We happened to go and meet the people who are part of this story in real life, and got to understand the picture better. Once it took shape as a story, we gave Nivin an interesting narration, after which he said yes to the project.”
Nivin’s look is also given a lot of importance in the project, apparently. “We can’t give out the exact look yet, but can say that his appearance will incorporate some interesting elements that suit the seaside setting,” says Sanjay. The project is expected to go on floors next year.
