Non-Malayalam actresses who became the heartthrob of M-Town

A Malayalam actress appearing in Tamil, Telugu or even Hindi films is not a tale anymore. Vice-versa artists from other languages also make their appearances in the Malayalam industry. There has been some wonderful non-Malayalam actress who left an impression on the minds of the Malayalam audiences. Let’s take a look at some non-Keralite actresses who became the heartthrob of M-Town.

2/5

Juhi Chawla

Juhi Chawla was undoubtedly the most talented and gorgeous actress of her time. She is still making the audience amaze with her charm. Although the actress has done only one film in Mollywood, she still became one of the most adored actresses of the industry. She was a part of the movie 'Harikrishnans.' The movie had Mohanlal and Mammootty in it. She played the female lead in the movie. She lit the screen with her mesmerizing screen presence. The single film was enough for the audience to fall in love with her. The film was directed by Fazil and was a major hit.

3/5

Suparna Anand

Suparna Anand from 'Vaishali' is one of the beautiful actresses the M-Town ever had. She was just like some goddesses. Even today the beauty and the efforts of Suparna to accept such a project are discussed. She played the title role in ‘Vaishali’. She played the daughter of Devadasi who seduces Rishyashrungan to get the blessing of rain. The film was any artist’s dream as it had the dream crew of Bharatan, MT Vasudevan Nair, Madhu Ambat, and ONV Kurup in it. Getting a debut in a Bharatan movie is a piece of luck. Later, Suparna also made her presence in P Padmarajan's 'Njan Gandharvan.' The movie also gave her a huge success that any actresses of her time couldn't achieve.

Soundarya

Soundarya is one actress whom the Indian industry still misses. The industry was in for a rude shock when the news of the sudden tragic death of the actress made the rounds. She was a part of couple of movies in Malayalam and became one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry. Her movies ‘Kilichundan Mambazham’ and ‘Yathrakkarude Sradhaykk’ were the two Malayalam films in which she made her appearance. In 'Kilichundan Mambazham' she played the love interest of Mohanlal. She played Amina in the movie and her unique style of doing things and the laughter she created throughout the movie was notable.

Pooja Batra

Pooja Batra is a household name for any Keralite because she was so familiar to the Mollywood audience. She stepped into M-Town with the movie, 'Chandralekha,' in which she starred opposite to Mohanlal. She made an iconic character with her cute looks and natural way of acting. She has also made appearances in Megham and Daivathinte Makan. With her three films, she became one of the favourite actresses of M-Town.
