‘One Battle After Another’: Malayalam Filmmaker Don Palathara calls Leonardo DiCaprio’s film ‘Worth a Watch’

Malayalam filmmaker Don Palathara has praised Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest release ‘One Battle After Another’, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the director wrote, “One Battle After Another is indeed a film worth watching. Most of it is a straightforward action drama, coupled with America's political situation these days. That's not a genre I expected from PTA, but he has surprised us before, too, with playing with different genres and themes.”

Don Palathara says the father and daughter's love hooked him

Don Palathara revealed that the film’s father-daughter storyline struck a personal chord. “I loved the Father-Daughter love part of the film. Made me tear up a few times in the theatre as I was reminded of home,” he shared.

The director also admired the technical brilliance of the film. “I also liked the way the chase sequence was filmed and edited. I would say that this is my fourth or fifth favorite PTA,” he noted.
