’ announced the theatrical release of the film which was scheduled for September 2 this year. With the latest reports coming in, Manju Warrier, who had a cameo role in the film has reportedly opted out of the project. This report has not yet been confirmed by the makers.

According to the sources, Manju Warrier had an extended cameo role in ‘Padavettu’, which is touted as a socio-political thriller, and the actor even shot for two schedules before and after the pandemic. As per the reports, the makers of ‘Padavettu’ have taken a decision to rewrite the script since the pandemic and unfortunately, the new script doesn’t have much significance for Manju Warrier’s character in the film.

Reportedly, Manju Warrier’s portions which were shot earlier have been eliminated from the movie altogether. An official confirmation on this is expected to be announced soon by the makers.

‘Padavettu’ is bankrolled by the production banner of the actor Sunny Wayne and the film is helmed by the debutant Liju Krishna. The film grabbed the news headlines for all the wrong reasons as the director was taken into police custody for allegedly sexually abusing a young woman. The makers didn’t aback by the mishap as they wrapped up the shoot just weeks after the incident.

Now that the film is all set to release on September 2nd this year, movie buffs are literally excited to watch a Nivin Pauly starrer after a long gap on the big screen. ‘Padavettu’ also has actors Shine Tom Chacko, Indrans, Vijayaraghavan, and Aditi Balan in pivotal roles.
