Mollywood actor Anoop Menon is all set to direct the upcoming fun-entertainer movie ‘Padma’ and recently the makers announced that the film will hit the big screens on July 15th this year.
Anoop Menon took to his official Facebook handle to share a sequence from his directorial movie and announced its release date. The actor’s note read, “‘Padma’ release confirmed. JULY 15th. Come fall in marriage.”

Versatile and award-winning actor Surabhi Lakshmi will be playing the leading lady in ‘Padma’ which is touted as a fun entertainer. Recently the makers unveiled a light-hearted fun-filled teaser for ‘Padma’ which showcased a funny interaction between Surabhi Lakshmi’s wife character and her Malayalam tutor.
Written and directed by Anoop Menon, ‘Padma’ has Mahadevan Thampi who will be cranking the lens and the editing section will be handled by Zian Sreekanth. Ninoy Varghese is in charge of the music department of ‘Padma’.

Apart from Anoop Menon and Surabhi Lakshmi, ‘Padma’ also features the actors Mala Parvathy and Shankar Ramakrishnan who will be seen playing significant roles in the movie. The expectations for 'Padma' is really high among the audience as the teasers promise a light-hearted comedy that deals with a socially relevant subject.
On the other hand, actor Anoop Menon’s previous outing was with the Mammootty starrer ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ and the investigation thriller ‘21 Grams’. Both the films got much adulation from the audience and also earned big at the Kerala box office.
Meanwhile, Anoop Menon also has a host of highly anticipated projects in the pipeline that includes the movies ‘King Fish’, ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’, ‘Oru Nalpathukaarante Irupathonnukaari’, ‘Varaal’, ‘Kosarakkolli’, and ‘Devadaruvile Manju’.
