She recently got back from the US after her studies and has also been shooting for her Bengali film by Ranjan Palit, but that's not all. The actress, who is also working with a Delhi-based think tank, was recently in Kerala visiting some villages here for a study.
Padmapriya says, 'For the past eight months, I have been working with the organisation. Recently, I presented a paper in Kerala Institute of Local Administration in Thrissur. It was about the rural local bodies and the various issues they face. I also visited a few villages like Pazhayannur and it was fun interacting with the common people.'

The actress has fond memories of shooting in Thrissur, for movies like Mohanlal-starrer Vadakkumnadhan and Karutha Pakshikal, with Mammootty. 'Both these movies were completely shot in Thrissur and its important locales like the Vadakkunnathan Temple. This time too, I had a pleasant experience while visiting the villages. The people I met weren't aware of my academic projects or break from films, and hardly did I feel that I have been away from the industry for two years. At the same time, I missed being in front of the camera!' says Padmapriya.
