Nithin Lukose’s critically acclaimed Malayalam drama film ‘Paka (River of Blood) is heading towards its OTT release which is scheduled for July 7 this year. The drama movie first premiered at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival in the Discovery section and was also later selected for the Red Sea International Film Festival.
As the film is all set to stream on July 7, the script penned down by Nithin Lukose (Director) tells a blood-soaking story of a couple in patriarchal rural India who decides to take out their revenge by the banks of a river that is stacked with more blood than water and is the only witness of the heinous deeds happening around it.
‘Paka (River of Blood)' is bankrolled by the veteran Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap and Raj Rachakonda who has scripted the Telugu biography film ‘Mallesham.

‘Paka’, written and directed by Nithin Lukose got much adulation from the critics as it premiered at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival. Srikanth Kabothu cranked the lens for the drama movie and the editing section was handled by Arunima Shankar. Faizal Ahammed was roped in as the music composer of ‘Paka (River of Blood).
‘Paka’ had an ensemble cast that included the actors Basil Paulose, Vinitha Koshy, Nithin George, Athul John, Jose Kizhakkan, Abhilash Nair, Joseph Manikkal, Mariyakkutty, and Jose Ashariyott.
Meanwhile, the director Nithin Lukose has worked previously in the sound department for several films such as ‘Ambili’, ‘Randuper’, ‘Ayaal Sassi’, ‘Thooppu’, ‘Bada Naam Karega’, and several other Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi films.
