Parvathy Thiruvothu is preparing for the release of her latest movie 'Ullozhukku.' Directed by Christo Tomy, the film also stars the veteran actress Urvashi and is set to release on June 21. The storyline revolves around a woman and her daughter-in-law struggling to bury a loved one amidst heavy floods in Kerala.

Despite her upcoming project, Parvathy's absence from Malayalam cinema has been notable.

In an interview with Manorama Online, she addressed this hiatus, clarifying that it wasn’t a deliberate departure. "I did not go anywhere. It is not as simple as moving from one district to another." She further said that there have been a lot of changes in the market, and they also have to adapt according to it.

Parvathy also explained that the evolving dynamics of the industry and the availability of better opportunities in other industries influenced her career choices.

Reflecting on her career path, Parvathy mentioned the significant gap between her movies 'City of God' and 'Bangalore Days,' indicating that long intervals between projects have been part of her journey. She emphasized that the perception of a 'comeback' often doesn’t align with her personal experience.

On the other hand, Parvathy’s previous outing in the Malayalam film industry was with the Mammootty starrer ‘Puzhu’ which received good reviews.
