A movie buff was quite impressed by ‘Philip’s’ and stated that the film is packed with humour. “Watched #Philips. Best 1st half of a movie I've seen recently. Packed with humour. But, the 2nd half falls flat like yet another usual feel good film with forced emotional elements. Technically Great. Good performances from all lead actors. As always Mukesh - Innocent combo 3/5,” the review reads.

Another forum on X shared that the film has a simple plot, which is neatly executed by the makers. “#Philips First Half: A simple plot is neatly presented in the first half where the family part and comic elements pays off. #Mukesh is brilliant with his comic timing and the rest of the cast gels well. Good first half,” the post reads.

The post further says that the film is a light-hearted entertainer, which is apt for a weekend watch. “#Philips Movie Review: A feel good drama that is filled with humour and explores the family relationships effectively. There were some unexpected twists and turns to make the film more compelling. Mukesh and Innocent nailed it among the cast. This light hearted tale will be a good choice this weekend.”

Another movie buff was overwhelmed to see late actor Innocent one last time on the big screens. The netizen wrote, “#Philips: Even though a routine and predictable affair Philip's succeeded in becoming a decent soothing feel good drama, thanks to the high positivity and low melodrama. #Mukesh #Innocent combo and that post credit final tribute to the Veteran #Passable.”
