'Phoenix’ OTT release: Here’s where and when to watch the Malayalam horror thriller

Malayalam horror thriller ‘Phoenix’, which was released theatrically on November 17, is currently streaming on OTT. The film is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video from today, December 22.

Aju Varghese announced the OTT release of the film through his Instagram handle. “#Phoenix after a fair run in theatres is coming to our homes in @amazonprime from today midnight at 12. Would love to hear your feedback for those who didn’t try in theatres,” the actor said in a post on Thursday, December 21.

Scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas, who is best known for the riveting thriller ‘Anjaam Pathiraa’, ‘Phoenix’ is directed by debutant Vishnu Bharathan. The film has Aju Varghese, Anoop Menon and Chandhunadh in the lead roles.

Directed by debutant filmmaker Vishnu Bharathan, ‘Phoenix’ revolves around a family of five, who move to their new abode near a beach. The summary on the Prime Video reads, “Phoenix is a horror film that has got a love story equally embedded within. The story takes off when the protagonist John and his family relocate to a faraway island village with the hopes of rebuilding their lives. But destiny has other plans for them as a series of horrifying events begin to unfold. The intriguing film has a run time of 2 hours 10 minutes.
