Poojitha Menon about her role as Biju Menon's wife
It's been hits and misses for actress Poojitha Menon since her debut in Nee Ko Njaa Cha. But her latest role in Swarnakaduva has her in a plum role along with Biju Menon, who seems to be on a roll these days.
The actress, who will be playing Biju Menon's wife in the Jos Thomas directorial, says, 'I play a nurse named Deepthi, who hails from a poor Christian family. In the film, Innocent sir's character approaches me with a proposal to marry the caretaker of his ventures, essayed by Biju chettan. After our wedding, I start working as a staff in their establishment.'
After playing casual and carefree characters, Poojitha finds it interesting to do a wife's role. 'Unlike my previous roles in Nee Ko Njaa Cha and Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, I play a responsible wife. She gets hurt when she comes to know that he marries her not out of love but to escape a particular situation. Their problems after marriage and how they manage to deal with it form the rest of the story.'
On her experience working with Biju Menon, she says that he used to keep helping her through a lot of scenes. 'I remember a scene, where both of us are walking on a pathway, and his character says the line: 'Though it's been only a few months since we met, it feels like years'. While my expression was expected to be extremely feminine, he giggled saying it seemed manly. He tried to emote the expression of a woman and told me that's how it should be done,' gushes the actress.
