The duo Prithviraj Sukumaran - Shaji Kailas is basking in the success of their recently released action entertainer ‘Kaduva’ and the film is earning much adulation from the audience for bringing back the 90s style action in Mollywood. Now the duo is teaming up for another movie ‘Kaapa’ and the makers announced that the film started rolling on the last day with an official pooja ceremony.
As ‘Kaapa’ started rolling, Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his official Instagram handle to unveil his character ‘Kotta Madhu’. ‘Kaduva’ actor’s Instagram post read, “Kotta Madhu. #KAAPA @shaji_kailas_ @jomontjohn #FEFKA Writer’s Union @theatreofdreamsofficial #GRIndugopan''.
Shaji Kailas previously said in an interview with an online media that ‘Kaapa’ is a completely different style of film that has some experimental elements in it. The director also reportedly said that he is trying for a new kind of storytelling pattern in ‘Kaapa’ unlike his previous films.
Prithviraj Sukumaran looked intense as the character Kotta Madhu in ‘Kaapa’ and the actors Asif Ali, Manju Warrier, and Anna Ben also play significant lead roles in the film. Manju Warrier will be joining the shoot of ‘Kaapa’ from next week onwards.
Helmed by the veteran director Shaji Kailas, ‘Kaapa’ is based on the novel ‘Shamkumukhi’ written by the renowned Malayalam writer GR Indugopan who is also penning down the screenplay of ‘Kaapa’. The film is bankrolled by the production house started by Jinu Abraham, Dolvin Kuriakose, and Dileesh Nair.
Meanwhile, ‘Kaapa’ was earlier planned to be directed by the veteran filmmaker Venu who later backed out from the project due to some reasons.
On the other hand, Prithviraj Sukumaran - Blessy’s ‘Aadujeevitham’ wrapped up its shoot on the last day. The film is based on the popular novel written by Benyamin and also has the actor Amala Paul in the female lead role.
