Prithviraj will head to Portugal for a romantic musical
Prithviraj had earlier told us that he is never in favour of playing a romantic hero in his 20s. True to his word, the story of his upcoming movie with debutant director Roshni Dinaker traverses through various phases of the protagonist’s life.
On its premise, Roshni tells us, “In everyone’s life, there would be a person who might not be travelling with you physically, but will always linger in your memories. Somehow you are emotionally connected to that person. This is one such story, set against the backdrop of exquisite locations in
Interestingly, this is not the first time the actor is playing different stages of a character’s life in a film. Movies such as Ennu Ninte Moideen, Anarkali and his latest release James and Alice, had him essaying such roles.
Roshni’s film, which is scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan, also has a crew that boasts of music director Shaan Rahman, sound engineer Bishwadeep Chatterjee of Bajirao Mastani and Piku fame, Enthiran cinematographer R Rathnavelu and Cannes Award-winning editor Priyank Prem Kumar.
“It’s the first time that Bishwadeep and Rathnavelu are working in a Malayalam film and they came on board because they could relate to the story. Also, they were convinced that their work would aid in making the movie technically sound,” she explains.
The team is currently on the lookout for the heroine and the rest of the cast for the yet-to-be-titled film, which will go on floors by August. “We will be leaving for a recce by the end of this month and also have four days of filming scheduled in Kerala,” Roshni says, adding that the movie will have a December release.
