The
Cinepolis
chain of multiplex has come under blacklist of Kerala Film Producers and Distributors group after it was reportedly found that the leaked copy of
Mohanlal's
Pulimurugan
originated from a theatre in Pune.
G Suresh Kumar, a senior official from the film producers association of Kerala, tells us, "The anti-piracy cells has found that the copy was leaked from Cinepolis multiplex as WestEnd Mall. Right now the cops are grilling the suspects to find the modus operandi."
We were not able to contact the officials from the theatre group. The decision from the producers now state that they will not be
screening
Malayalam films in any of the multiplexes owned by Cinepolis across India. The group has one multiplex in Kerala in Ernakulam.
