Her innocent smile, natural charm and Thrissur slang worked magic with the audiences last year. Rachana Narayanankutty, who started her innings as a TV star, is now a busy bee in films. Now, we hear that the dancer cum actress has landed herself in a plum role opposite Dileep in the upcoming movie Life of Josekutty helmed by hitmaker Jeethu Joseph. “Yes, I am playing the lady love of Josekutty, the character portrayed by Dileep

But owing to certain circumstances, our love doesn’t end in marriage. My character has a tinge of humour, and what’s more, scope for performance,” says Rachana without letting out more details.
The actress, who is elated to work with Jeethu Joseph, recalls an incident: “During the initial phase of my acting career, I got an opportunity to perform a dance sequence at the audio launch of Jeethu’s
My Boss. Honestly, from that day on, I really wished to be the part of the director’s movie. Now, things took a miraculous turn and I believe that’s sheer destiny.” Rachana believes in Paulo Coelho's quote from his book The Alchemist. “I too believe that if you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. I guess the innate passion for movies will help me to me to move forward and attain all my dreams. Yes, I am game,” beams a confidante Rachana.
Most of her earlier movies saw the actress playing supporting roles. But Rachana is more than happy about it and says, “I have no qualms about playing such characters as they offer me a range of roles. Though comedy is my forte, I am quite happy to take up any character that comes my way,” she says. The actress who play a key role in Double Barrel has also signed up for heroine-oriented projects.
