Biju Menon’s latest film Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu hit theatres on April 21 and has the actor playing once again a middle class man. The film directed by Ranjan Abraham was in the news recently for having almost a 100 characters.

The movie, which is 2 hours and 42 minutes in duration, introduces Biju Menon’s character Baiju who is a laidback government employee. The film also has

Hannah Reji

playing Biju Menon’s wife.

The film starts off at a playground, which is heart of hamlet Kumbalam, where Baiju and team play a cricket match. Most of the

first half

happens here.

Biju Menon puts on a delightful performance as a forever young-hearted Baiju. Hannah is convincing as the simpleton homemaker too.

There are many subtle, natural moments of comedy but the overall patience-trying narrative could get you bored easily. If the first half is any indication, you need oodles of patience to watch the film.
