The dilemma regarding '
Randamoozham
' has a new chapter as MT Vasudevan
Nair
who scripted the movie based on his own novel by the same name stood firm on his stand that he wants his script to be returned from director Shrikumar Menon.
Meanwhile, V A Shrikumar Menon has pleaded for a mediator to resolve the case. The case was heard at Calicut Munsif court today and further hearing has been scheduled on December 7th by the court. MT approached the court on October 11 demanding his script to be returned from the director pointing the fact there was a violation of contract with regard to the completion of movie within given time. A legal notice was then sent to Shrikumar Menon and Earth and Fire Films Pvt Ltd, by the court to halt the proceedings of the project.
MT Vasudevan Nair handed the complete script of 'Randamoozham' in Malyalam and English to Shrikumar Menon four years back with a contract extended till three years. However, the director couldn't even start the shooting of the movie in this three years which prompted MT to demand his script back.
The movie was planned to be produced by BR Shetty with
Mohanlal fixed to play the lead role of Bhimasenan. However, with MT adamant not to cooperate with the project anymore,Shrikumar's dream of materializing his magnum opus looks bleak.
