Ravi Singh to play a cinematographer in his next Malayalam film

The film, titled 'The Director,' is helmed by Dr Biju
Bollywood actor Ravi Singh, who played the main villain in

Tiyaan

, has seemingly impressed directors with his performance in his Mollywood debut and has been roped in for two more Malayalam movies.

The first film is

Dr Biju

’s

The Director

, which has wrapped up shooting. The movie, which is shot in English, will see Ravi in an entirely new avatar as a cinematographer.
The movie is about a film crew who are stuck on either sides of a hill in Gangtok, Sikkim, where there is no mobile network and has limited access. “The Director is a prestigious project for me as I got a chance to work with a renowned director such as Dr Biju, who is also a National Award winner. It’s a privilege to get to act in his film.”

The movie also has Prakash Bare as part of the cast and Ravi says the conversations with the actor-producer were rewarding.
“Whenever you get a chance to interact with Prakash, you get to learn to look at things from a different perspective,” he says. “It was a fun, learning process for me. Also, the film gave me a chance to work with nine actors from across India and that is something I will cherish.”

Ravi Singh, meanwhile, is also in talks for another Malayalam film, to be helmed by a Tamil filmmaker. “We are in the final stages of discussion and I can reveal the details only by the end of this month,” he signs off.
