Resul Pookutty is part of Foot Prints on Water's crew

The film tells the tale of an illegal immigrant in the UK enacted by Adil Hussain, who is in search of his daughter in Birmingham, while he is trying to escape from the police. Nimisha Sajayan plays the missing daughter of Adil's character. As per reports, through the characters of Adil and Nimisha, Through the father’s desperate search for his daughter, the film tries to throw lights on the lives of immigrants who reach the UK for a dream life.

Announcing the project, Adil wrote on his social media pages, “This is a role that I am eagerly waiting to breathe life into. Wish us luck please. Shooting starts in Birmingham in December.


Lena plays Nimisha’s step mother and Adil’s wife. Talking about Foot Prints on Water, Lena had earlier told us that the team even before meeting up have bonded through video calls. “We used to have group video calls, which has become the new normal anyway. Even before coming here, we shared a really good rapport. It has been a nice experience,” she said. It is a. multi-lingual story that will have characters speaking in English, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
