Saiju Kurup plays Unni Mukundan’s native in Meppadiyan

Actor Saiju Kurup has been doing variety of roles in the past few years. His roles such as Arakkal Abu in Aadu, Johny Peringodan in Driving License and Prasannan in

Android Kunjappan

have been receiving rave reviews from the movie buffs. The actor is currently working in Meppadiyan, the first production venture of actor Unni Mukundan. He tells us that he plays a character named Philip Varkey in the movie. “He is a native of Unni Mukundan’s character in the movie and is a friend. I cannot speak more about the role,” he says. Meppadiyan is a theatrical release focused movie.

Post lockdown, Saiju acted in Anthakshari. The actor says, “It feels good to be back to work though we had two positive cases in Anthakshari set. We had to quarantine ourselves. However, things weren't really bad as we were all in a resort at Kallar and were isolated together for ten days maintaining social distancing,”he says.

I had struggles, but I would say that I got to play a lot of interesting roles as a supporting actor. I am happy about the space I am in. I am choosing my roles wisely.
