Saiju Kurup starrer ‘Bharathanatyam’s sequel ‘Mohiniyattam’ completes shoot

Saiju Kurup starrer ‘Mohiniyattam’ will be hitting the big screens soon. The makers of the film wrapped up the shoot on January 7. In a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the makers confirmed completing the shoot of the film.


“WE DID IT! @bharathanatyam2mohiniyattam is finally wrapped! Huge thanks to the cast and crew for riding this rollercoaster,” they said.





Saiju Kurup, who is playing the lead role in the upcoming Malayalam film, shared a video from the sets of ‘Mohiniyattam’ in a collaborative post and confirmed the packup.

All about ‘Mohiniyattam’

‘Mohiniyattam’ is a sequel to the 2024-release ‘Bharathanatyam’. Debutante Krishnadas Murali helmed ‘Bharathanatyam’, and is the director of the upcoming film. The team has kept the principal cast, including Saiju Kurup, Kalaranjini, Sreeja Ravi, Jinil Rex, and Jivin Rex, who will reprise their roles. There are also some exciting new additions to the upcoming film. Actors Jagadish, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vinay Forrt, rapper Baby Jean, Nisthar Sait, and Santhosh K Nayar are the new joinees.

‘Bharathanatyam’ released in 2024, was an unexpected hit. The family comedy didn’t find its audience during its initial theatrical release. But once the film premiered on OTT, it became an instant hit. People across the nation appreciated the film.
